Three Easy Ways to Incorporate Your Wedding Colours into the Groom's Outfit.

Your wedding binder is filled to the brim with pages of ideas and inspiration for every single aspect of your wedding. Pink, purple and green Post-It notes bookmark the million different details you have been planning and obsessing over for your once in a lifetime celebration.

When it comes to the groom's outfit, the perfect suit has been picked out but you're still looking for a few special details to tie it all together.

Here are three easy ways to incorporate the colours of your wedding into the groom's outfit.

1. Start by using one of the prominent colours from your bouquet and choose a matching bow tie. I've been biased towards bow ties ever since I saw John Legend wearing them on the Duets show. They are classy, slick and full of personality but you can match a tie this way too. Don't limit yourself to solid colours - patterns are oh so charming.

2. Next, look for a pocket square. These little squares of fabric will help break up that monotone suit colour and give it a finished, gentlemanly look. If you watch Mad Men, you'll know exactly what I mean! The pocket square doesn't need to match your bow tie exactly, rather it should complement it. There's a few ways to do this. Use a secondary colour from the bow tie, pull a colour from the dress shirt, or use either a lighter or darker shade of the primary colour from the bow tie. White generally works well with most combinations too.

3. For someone who pays attention to all the details, I know you wouldn't leave the socks as an afterthought. Black or grey socks that match the colour of the dress pants are so yesterday. Find dress socks to match the same colour from step one that was used for the bow tie. Now whenever the groom sits, a glimpse of colour shows.

Easy, right? Here's a collection of a few bouquet and bow tie combinations to get you inspired.
